About the Role
Perform setups, troubleshoot problems, fill out necessary inspection documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement. This role reports directly to the Production Supervisor or their designate.
Responsibilities
- Complete and accurate work performed efficiently
- Set up machine tools using drawings, specifications, manuals, and codes
- Obtain cutting tools, gages, paperwork, and other requirements for the specified job
- Investigate special machining instructions to conform to Quality Assurance requirements
- Read and modify G&M programming and macros
- Use CAM software to program basic features
- Use basic math and trigonometry to manufacture and verify components
- Inspect and set up castings and weldments to ensure all critical features are within tolerance
- Select proper tooling, speeds, feeds, and cutting techniques for various super alloys and stainless steels
- Operate a variety of material handling equipment including jibs, overhead cranes, and their accessories
- Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, bore gages, gage blocks, and gage pins to ensure conformity
- Consistently meet customer’s quality requirements and expectations
- Interpret GD&T and work instruction documentation
- Provide instruction and guidance to assisting employees
- Participate in training of other employees of lesser classification
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor or their designate
- Use scaffold, ladders, forklift, and/or scissor lift
- Use a crane to move parts
- Maintain a clean work area with no clutter
- Practice safety at all times while at work
- Follow safety policies and procedures and speak up when others are non-compliant
- Wear all safety equipment for the area of work
- Keep an open mind to others' continuous improvement suggestions
- Bring continuous improvement suggestions to the appropriate team member
- Demonstrate initiative, positive attitude, and enthusiasm for the job
- Follow up with supervisor on professional development goals and opportunities
- Take an interest and express a desire to grow with the company
Requirements
- Must be willing to work overtime as required
- Minimal travel may be required
- Must be able to work in the U.S without sponsorship

- Technical Trades School or Journeyperson
