About the Role
Join the General Liability team representing landlords, managing agents, business owners, security companies, and owners of commercial establishments. This role involves litigation of Labor Law, products, and complex, high-exposure matters. We seek a bright, highly motivated, and proactive attorney with excellent writing skills, capable of independent action and comfortable with client interaction.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively to develop litigation strategy for the defense of general liability actions.
- Draft and review pleadings and discovery, memos, briefs, and other legal correspondence and litigation documents.
- Represent clients in court.
- Participate in depositions, conferences, hearings, and all other aspects of general liability litigation.
- Interact with medical experts.
- Conduct legal and medical research and analysis.
- Draft motions.
- Work cooperatively with others.
- Interact with clients.
Requirements
- Admission to practice in New York.
- At least 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation or comparable experience.
- Familiarity with New York Labor Law a plus.
Skills
- Strong legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with clients and command client confidence.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.
