About the Role

Represent business owners, landlords, managing agents, security services organizations, building owners and contractors in general liability litigation and construction litigation. This position is for an attorney with experience to join the General Liability team which represents landlords, managing agents, business owners, security companies and owners of a wide variety of commercial establishments, including litigation of Labor Law, products and complex, high exposure matters.

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively to develop litigation strategy for the defense of general liability actions
Draft and review pleadings and discovery, memos, briefs and other legal correspondence and litigation documents
Represent clients in court
Participate in depositions, conferences, hearings and all other aspects of general liability litigation
Conduct trials
Interact with medical experts
Conduct legal and medical research and analysis
Draft motions
Work cooperatively with others
Interact with clients

Requirements

Admission to practice in New York
Experience in personal injury litigation or comparable experience
Familiarity with New York Labor Law a plus

Skills

Strong legal research, writing and verbal communication skills
Ability to interact with clients and command client confidence
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly
