About the Role

The Affinity Group is a rapidly growing food sales and marketing agency focused on increasing market demand and driving market penetration for clients in the food service and retail fresh food sectors. This role requires a consultative selling approach to build trust and drive success with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Establish relationships and demonstrate a strong consultative selling approach to key stakeholders in Healthcare, Business and Industry, and College and Universities.
  • Prospect and hunt for new business within a defined territory of New Mexico.
  • Influence key decision-makers and develop trust within Healthcare, Business and Industry, and College and Universities sectors.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of key differentiators and the competitive landscape.
  • Develop creative solutions for restaurant chefs and on-site restaurant operators.
  • Collaborate with local market leadership and cross-functional sales support teams to execute market penetration strategies.
  • Update CRM with all actions to analyze effectiveness.
  • Manage pipeline and sales activity with accurate forecasting.
  • Prepare or learn to cook food products and design menus to support the selling cycle.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of foodservice experience.
  • Outside sales account management experience is required.
  • Prior experience in outside sales, account management, relationship management, direct/indirect sales, business development, operations, or business-to-business is preferred.
  • Collaborative but able to operate independently and prioritize tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Savvy, consultative selling approach enabling client trust.
  • Experience calling on key accounts, market prospecting, and sales pipeline management.
  • Ability to develop, execute, and follow a sales plan.
  • Communicator capable of influencing changes in others.
  • Positive professional with a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to partner with diverse teams and learn from others.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during food trade show season.
  • Ability to safely lift case goods up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires daily motor vehicle travel to assigned locations.
