About the Role

As a Crane Operator in Track Construction, you will operate state-of-the-art lifting equipment directly on the German railway tracks. This is a secure job in a niche industry, offering a strong team spirit and fair compensation for travel and weekend work.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and control modern cranes and lifting equipment in track construction.
  • Maintain and service assigned machinery and vehicles.
  • Identify and assist in resolving malfunctions and error sources in control systems.
  • Work on various construction sites throughout Germany and occasionally in other European countries.
  • Ensure the operational safety of lifting equipment before and during use.

Requirements

  • Valid train driver's license (e.g., Class B according to TfV).
  • A completed technical apprenticeship (e.g., as a locksmith, mechanic, electrician) is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • First or substantial professional experience operating rail vehicles. Experience in the railway sector or with construction machinery is a plus.
  • German language proficiency C1.
  • Valid driver's license Class B.
  • Willingness to travel and work on assignments nationwide, including weekends and nights.
  • Ideally reside in the greater Berlin, Brandenburg, Leipzig, or Cottbus area for carpooling.
