About the Role
Buffalo Veterinary Group is seeking a Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Veterinary Criticalist to join its growing, progressive team at a leading specialty and emergency hospital. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in emergency and critical care, possess strong leadership abilities, and demonstrate a passion for providing the highest quality of care to patients. This role offers a dynamic caseload, state-of-the-art facilities, and collaboration with a team of specialists and experienced clinicians.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced critical care to patients in the ICU
- Oversee and manage the emergency and critical care department
- Develop and implement treatment plans for critically ill patients
- Collaborate with other veterinary specialists and support staff
- Mentor and train veterinary interns, residents, and technicians
- Stay current with the latest advancements in veterinary emergency and critical care
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
- Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the state of New York (or able to apply)
- Board certification or nearing completion of residency program in applicable specialty area
