About the Role

We're looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to design and develop embedded firmware for advanced energy and motive power systems. In this role, you'll contribute to Battery Management Systems (BMS), fuel cell controllers, power electronics, energy management systems, and other embedded control platforms. Working alongside electrical, mechanical, controls, and systems engineers, you'll help develop reliable products from concept through production. If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges and seeing your software come to life in hardware, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities

  • Develop software for Battery Management Systems (BMS), fuel cell controllers, power electronics, energy management systems, and related embedded products.
  • Create reusable software components that support multiple embedded platforms.
  • Contribute to software architecture, product design reviews, and technical discussions.
  • Support software throughout the product lifecycle, from concept and development through validation, production, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with electrical, mechanical, controls, and systems engineers to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Perform software integration, debugging, testing, and validation on embedded hardware platforms.
  • Resolve software and hardware integration issues to improve system performance and reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency developing embedded software in C/C++ for resource-constrained microcontrollers.
  • Working knowledge of bare-metal development and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
  • Understanding of embedded communication protocols, including CAN, I²C, SPI, and UART.
  • Solid grasp of embedded operating system concepts, including interrupts, threading, synchronization, and memory management.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional engineering team.
