About the Role

Our Rail Engineering Management team is expanding, seeking talented Design Managers and Project Engineers to contribute to a diverse portfolio of rail and transport projects in the UK and internationally. You will collaborate with experienced professionals on projects for major clients, gaining exposure to multidisciplinary design, systems integration, and project delivery, with opportunities for leadership development.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of multidisciplinary engineering and design activities.
  • Manage design programmes, deliverables, and interfaces to ensure efficient project progression.
  • Coordinate engineering teams, stakeholders, and suppliers to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Support the management of design risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of digital and information management solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand requirements and develop practical engineering solutions.
  • Promote collaborative working across disciplines and project teams.
  • Support the delivery of projects to agreed scope, quality, programme, and budget requirements.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, wellbeing, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate activities across multiple disciplines and interfaces.
  • Commercial awareness and focus on delivering client value.
  • Ability to identify and solve technical and project delivery challenges.
  • Experience working collaboratively within project teams while taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.

  • Membership, or working towards membership, of a relevant professional institution (Desirable)
