About the Role
Alfred Dunhill seeks individuals with commitment, drive, and a strong commercial focus who will thrive in a creative environment that encourages innovative thinking. The role involves supporting the Manufacturing Manager in developing and producing high-quality small leather goods, bags, gift items, and luggage using handmade techniques.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with and support the Manufacturing Manager to develop and produce high-quality small leather goods, bags, gift items, and luggage using handmade techniques.
- Collaborate with the Manufacturing Manager on pattern creation, mock-ups, and prototypes.
- Complete specification sheets.
- Engage in bespoke developments and problem-solving.
- Perform general bench assembly work, including preparing leather skins, cutting, splitting, skiving, gluing, edge dyeing and finishing, machine sewing, hand stitching, metal accessory fixing, and foil blocking.
Requirements
- Case and Box work experience is essential.
- Ensure all leather products are developed to the standards required by dunhill.
- Manage own time, in liaison with the Manufacturing Manager, to produce products within agreed standard times.
- Assist colleagues in the team when required.
- Utilize current leather skills and share these through training and guidance with other team members.
- Take part in any training offered to upskill current leather working skills.
- Maintain a safe & healthy working environment and comply with company guidelines.
