About the Role
Manage Tech Nation’s Deeptech initiatives, including a cohort-based programme for post-spin out and Series A founders, and pilot a new Founders Forum x Tech Nation deeptech event. Identify and build a strong network, engage strategic partners, and deliver a calendar of events and advisory support.
Responsibilities
- Programme research, ideation, & content curation
- Input and iterate the strategy for the deeptech initiatives
- Become an in-house specialist in the deeptech ecosystem
- Research and identify thought leaders, programme advisors and value adding speakers
- Coordinate invitations and shape agendas
- Ideate new formats for events and programmes
- Programme & event delivery
- Ensure an incredible, impact-driven, and scalable experience for companies
- Organise growth and investor-based events, educational, advisory sessions and introductions
- Work with founders on a day-to-day basis to gather feedback and shape support
- Own the content and plan for a new flagship deeptech forum
- Work with investors and relevant stakeholders to drive impact, audience and brand amplification
- Implement a clear judging process for the programme
- Collaborate with the partnerships lead to maintain communication with programme partners
- Scope out opportunities for the new flagship forum
- Deliver new bespoke partner events relating to the deeptech community
- Community engagement
- Scale the community by developing a pipeline of target Founders, investors and wider stakeholders
- Maintain a close relationship with companies, providing day-to-day community management
- Align services to company needs and goals
- Build and develop the alumni engagement strategy
- Source advisors and experts to add to the Tech Nation offering
- Develop in-house sector focus and specialism
- Attend relevant deeptech ecosystem events
Requirements
- Ability to think proactively and bring ideas
- Passion and curiosity about deeptech and its community
- Ability to stay organised and project manage multiple deliverables
- Entrepreneurial drive: self-driven, naturally curious, and excited about working with startups, ecosystem stakeholders, and investors
- People person skilled in building relationships and bringing stakeholders together for tangible impact
- Thrive working in teams and passionate about Tech Nation's mission
- Some relevant experience relating to an area of deeptech
- Some proven experience in events, VC, accelerators, community or deeptech startup
- Strong relationship builder and communicator
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Right to work in the UK
