About the Role
We are seeking a Data Strategist to understand the external data landscape, identify and procure datasets that can enhance our trading operations. This role involves close collaboration with traders, researchers, and other colleagues to understand their needs, advise on data solutions, and evaluate available options. You will discover new data sources by attending conferences, monitoring industry trends, engaging with vendors, and exploring non-commercialized data opportunities. Additionally, you will manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, influence product roadmaps, and coordinate with internal teams like Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Data Engineering to integrate datasets into production.

- Negotiate contract terms with vendors.
- Influence vendor roadmaps.
- Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Data Engineering teams.
- Bring datasets into production use.
Requirements
- Professionally experienced with sourcing, evaluating, and procuring datasets.
- Analytical, curious, and quick to build expertise in new areas.
- Able to build strong relationships with colleagues across the firm and with outside vendors.
- Able to manage multiple concurrent projects and context-switch throughout the day.
- A strong written and verbal communicator.
