About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on QA Lead who views quality as a product problem, not just a testing problem. This role involves owning quality end-to-end, collaborating with Product and Engineering to ensure rapid, high-quality releases. You will identify quality risks, implement solutions, and shape the company's quality approach, including AI-enabled testing.
Responsibilities
- Own quality across the entire product lifecycle, from feature design through to production monitoring.
- Develop and execute a modern QA strategy balancing manual testing, automation, and production observability.
- Introduce AI-powered tools and workflows to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and speed.
- Build and maintain end-to-end automated test suites.
- Determine where manual exploratory testing provides the highest value and ensure critical user journeys are validated.
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering to identify risks early and embed quality into development.
Requirements
- Strong experience owning software quality in modern product teams.
- Experience balancing manual testing, automation, and production monitoring.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated tests, ideally using Playwright.
- Solid understanding of modern QA practices, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and testing strategies.
- Experience introducing AI tools or AI-assisted workflows into software testing and quality processes.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence Product and Engineering teams through data and practical decision-making.
- Ability to naturally move between product discussions and technical implementation.
- Excitement for using AI to rethink QA.
- Understanding of when automation is the right answer and when manual testing creates more value.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments where you are trusted to figure things out.
- Pragmatic, highly autonomous, and motivated by solving real customer problems.
- Enjoyment in building systems, improving processes, and enhancing the quality function.
