About the Role
Design and implement future-proof software architectures in the .NET environment for banks and financial service providers, managing their realization in complex projects. Bridge classic enterprise architectures with modern approaches like microservices, containers, and event-driven architectures. Define and establish architecture and technology standards, considering the specific requirements of the banking sector. Translate business requirements into viable technical solutions, collaborating closely with clients, business departments, and development teams. Evaluate trends like AI integration, Serverless, Observability, Zero-Trust-Security, and DevSecOps for secure, resilient, and future-proof banking applications.
Responsibilities
- Design future-proof software architectures in the .NET environment for banks and financial service providers and oversee their implementation in complex projects.
- Connect classic enterprise architectures (e.g., monoliths, client-server systems, on-premises landscapes) with modern approaches (e.g., microservices, containers, event-driven architectures).
- Define and establish architecture and technology standards (e.g., Cloud-native, API-First, Security by Design, Domain-Driven Design), considering the specific requirements of the banking environment.
- Translate business requirements from banks and financial service companies into viable technical solutions, working closely with clients, business departments, and development teams.
- Evaluate trends such as AI integration, Serverless, Observability, Zero-Trust-Security, and DevSecOps regarding secure, resilient, and future-proof banking applications.
Requirements
- Completed degree in (Business) Informatics or equivalent qualification.
- Several years of experience in the design and documentation of complex software architectures.
- Ideally, experience in projects for banks or financial service providers.
- Good knowledge of C# and .NET Core.
- Proficiency in cloud services like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Bicep.
- Experience modernizing existing systems to microservices, cloud, and SaaS solutions.
- Experience transforming legacy systems into scalable platforms.
- Understanding of the requirements of business-critical applications in banking.
- Know-how in requirements analysis, operational concepts, and security architectures.
- Confident moderation of architecture workshops.
- Acting as an interface between business and technology.
- Coaching development teams.
- Proficiently use AI tools in your field, critically evaluate results, and support clients and adesso in leveraging AI potential.
- Very good German and good English language skills for confident communication.
