About the Role
ICMP is seeking an inspiring and experienced Programme Leader to provide strategic and academic leadership for its BA (Hons) Songwriting and Production programme across its UK campuses. This role involves shaping and leading a growing area of Creative Practice provision, ensuring an outstanding student experience and high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment. The Programme Leader will drive innovation in curriculum design, programme delivery, and industry engagement to equip graduates for success in a rapidly evolving sector.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and academic leadership for the BA (Hons) Songwriting and Production programme.
- Ensure an outstanding student experience and high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Drive innovation in curriculum design, programme delivery, and industry engagement.
- Equip graduates with the skills, knowledge, and creative confidence needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving sector.
- Influence the development of songwriting education where ICMP is positioned as a leading provider nationally.
Requirements
- Substantial experience in undergraduate teaching and academic leadership.
- Experience in designing assessments that develop critical analysis and independent enquiry.
- A track record of leading teams, enhancing the student experience, and managing academic programmes.
- A commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, with awareness of inclusive pedagogies and current debates such as decolonising the curriculum.
- The ability to motivate and support staff, foster collaboration, and align academic vision with strategic objectives.
- Demonstrable research profile or industry practice evidenced through publications, applied research, or critically reflective industry work.
- Successful candidates will be required to obtain a satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure.
