About the Role

Develop and evaluate custom LSIs for video output used in PlayStation products. You will be responsible for LSI specification, design, verification, and mass production support, working with cutting-edge architectures and semiconductor processes.

Responsibilities

• Define LSI specifications by gathering requirements from product planning, hardware, software, and game developers, envisioning future optimal LSIs in terms of performance and cost.
• Engage in joint design and development with LSI vendors.
• Verify and evaluate prototype chips to ensure they meet desired functions and performance.
• Support mass production.
• Understand hardware at a low level, including cache, memory, and buses, and approach tasks logically for specification and verification.
• Perform C/C++ programming for LSI verification and evaluation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of development experience in one of the following areas: High-speed I/F (especially PCIe/USB/HDMI/Display Port, etc.) LSI design/verification/evaluation experience, or High-speed I/F Power/Signal integrity evaluation/analysis experience.
• Knowledge of Video I/F standards and experience with Video I/F standards, including designing/verifying products or LSIs considering certification requirements, and resolving issues by referencing specification documents.
• C/C++ programming development experience.
• Ability to read English specification documents and communicate via email in English.
