About the Role
Hyatt offers career development and learning opportunities in a safe, respectful, and inclusive culture. This Full-Time Handyperson role supports the Engineering team with daily maintenance needs for hotel operations.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day maintenance requirements for hotel operations.
- Carry out ad hoc repairs related to all aspects of the building environment.
- Focus on the upkeep of rooms, preventative maintenance, and guest requests.
- Monitor and inspect workspaces and equipment conditions.
- Report on areas requiring improvement.
- Work in a professional and safe manner according to hotel standards and procedures.
Requirements
- Established experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel environment.
- Hands-on maintenance and repairs experience strongly preferred.
- Personable demeanor with the ability to interact with guests.
- Dedicated work ethic with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong multi-modal communication skills (verbal, reading, written).
- Competency in collaborative and independent work.
- Technically minded with confidence using computers and systems.
- Creative and adaptive problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines.
- Full working rights in Australia.
- Availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings and weekends.
