About the Role
As Procurement Director, you will build a world-class supplier ecosystem to enable faster scaling, improved margins, and consistent delivery of outstanding products. This strategic leadership position involves owning the sourcing strategy across ingredients, packaging, merchandising, and co-manufacturing, while continuously improving cost, quality, supplier performance, flexibility, and speed. You will collaborate with Product Development, Supply Chain Planning, Operations, Finance, and founders to build supplier partnerships supporting HOLY's ambitious growth.
Responsibilities
- Own HOLY's sourcing strategy across ingredients, packaging, merchandising and co-manufacturing
- Develop category strategies that improve competitiveness, resilience and long-term scalability
- Drive structural COGS improvements through strategic sourcing, commercial excellence and value engineering
- Identify new sourcing opportunities, technologies and supplier capabilities to strengthen HOLY's competitive position
- Build long-term strategic partnerships with HOLY's key suppliers
- Develop suppliers across capacity, quality, innovation, flexibility and operational excellence
- Ensure our suppliers scale alongside HOLY's ambitious growth plans
- Establish HOLY as a preferred customer through trust, transparency and professional supplier management
- Strengthen our supplier ecosystem through selective onboarding of new partners and pragmatic multi-sourcing where it creates value
- Improve end-to-end supply chain performance by reducing lead times, increasing supplier responsiveness and improving planning reliability
- Partner closely with Supply Chain Planning and Operations to align supplier capabilities with demand forecasts, inventory targets and growth plans
- Improve working capital through stronger commercial terms, better supplier collaboration and optimized replenishment models
- Support the development of a scalable and resilient manufacturing network
- Own supplier performance across quality, OTIF, responsiveness, compliance and continuous improvement
- Establish structured Supplier Business Reviews, measurable KPIs and clear accountability with strategic suppliers
- Proactively identify and mitigate supply risks before they impact the business
- Ensure suppliers consistently meet HOLY's quality, food safety and regulatory standards
- Lead and develop HOLY's Strategic Procurement and Operational Buying teams
- Build a high-performance organization with strong commercial capabilities, clear ownership and a continuous improvement mindset
- Develop future leaders and continuously raise the maturity of HOLY's procurement function
- Build scalable processes, systems and ways of working that support HOLY's growth
Requirements
- 5–10+ years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Consulting, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial or another analytical leadership role
- Outstanding structured problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex challenges into pragmatic solutions
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth or entrepreneurial environments where ownership and speed matter
- Strong commercial judgment and experience negotiating with suppliers, partners or senior stakeholders
- Proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives and deliver measurable business impact
- Experience building scalable processes, organizations and ways of working
- Experience leading and developing teams is a strong plus
- Exposure to manufacturing, FMCG, food & beverage or consumer goods is beneficial but not required
- Excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus but not required)
- A builder who enjoys creating structures, teams and processes from scratch
- Combines strategic thinking with strong execution skills and is comfortable getting hands-on
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities and can quickly structure complex situations
- Takes ownership, moves fast and thrives in environments with high autonomy and ambiguity
- Builds trust easily and can influence suppliers, stakeholders and teams through strong communication and judgment
- Commercially minded and always looks for ways to create measurable business impact
