About the Role
Shape the future of the built environment in NSW and be involved in prominent city shaping projects. As the Business Development Lead, you will join the NSW Buildings Leadership Team, represent the business to clients, drive growth across all sectors in the Buildings market, and lead strategic initiatives. You will have the opportunity to work across health, data centres, defence, residential and retail precinct developments, office development, aged care, justice, sports and leisure and social infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings a strong network in the buildings industry, a track record of business development success, and a passion for delivering impactful, community-focused solutions. This role is a chance to influence how the built environment in NSW takes shape.
Responsibilities
- Be the trusted advisor clients seek, drive proactive engagement, and elevate our market brand.
- Drive market growth by identifying strategic opportunities, shaping bids, and leveraging industry trends to position the business as a technical and commercial leader.
- Foster cross-business collaboration to strengthen client relationships, share global expertise, and support project delivery through Communities of Practice and strategic leadership alignment.
- Lead, review, and advise on key projects, ensuring efficiency and excellence in delivery.
- Collaborate closely with Business and Group Leaders to mentor emerging talent, identify strategic recruitment needs, and strengthen project delivery across the Business Centre.
Requirements
- Ideally 15+ years of professional experience in a consulting firm operating in the building design market.
- Proven leadership in the buildings market.
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and client relationship skills.
