About the Role
Perform clinical nursing functions based on department needs, assist practitioners, provide patient education, and perform other nursing procedures as assigned in clinical areas. This work supports the mission and goals of Ryan Health.
Responsibilities
- Screening, discharging, interviewing, counseling, and teaching patients.
- Reporting and documenting clinical observations and findings in patient’s medical record.
- Obtaining vital signs, administering medications and treatments, and fulfilling practitioner orders.
- Performing procedures including EKG’s, Hearing and Vision tests, Bone Density, and Blood Glucose tests.
- Assisting providers with examinations and participating in routine diagnostic and therapeutic testing and treatment.
- Ordering medications, immunizations, and other supplies.
- Maintaining records of controlled substances and keeping accurate accounting.
- Processing laboratory tests, referral and x-ray requisition forms.
- Retrieving laboratory and radiology reports for practitioners.
- Maintaining emergency bag, oxygen tanks, and other clinical equipment.
- Performing follow-up procedures for abnormal lab results, Urgent Lab Recalls, and missed appointments.
- Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and maintaining clinical equipment and medical instruments.
- Preparing and organizing supplies in examination rooms.
- Communicating with clinical, clerical, and managerial staff to provide continuity of patient care.
- Practicing accepted infection control measures.
- Attending Ryan Health Meetings as required.
- Reporting any unusual occurrences or problems in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Healthcare delivery experience.
- Willing to consider and train recent graduates.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to think clearly and work in a busy clinic.
- Working experience with electronic medical records software.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Outlook and Word.
Skills
- LPN license
- Phlebotomy certification
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Customer Service: Professional, courteous and respectful attitude

- $36.55 - $42.40 Hourly
