About the Role

As an in-house lawyer for a pan-Asian life and health insurance company, you will handle various legal issues, play a central role in the legal department overseeing insurance law, contract review, and board secretarial functions, and are expected to commit to the company's management in the medium to long term.

Responsibilities

• Handle legal inquiries from business and internal control departments.
• Review contracts.
• Oversee board secretarial functions.
• Report to the legal department of the Hong Kong headquarters.

Requirements

• Must be a Japanese-qualified lawyer.
• Minimum 7 years of combined experience as a lawyer in a Japanese law firm or as an in-house lawyer at a company operating under industry regulations.
• Experience in contract review, corporate legal affairs, or dispute resolution.
• Ability to coordinate across organizations and execute practical tasks.
• High ethical standards and risk judgment ability.
• Problem-solving skills based on business understanding, applicable to practical situations.
• Smooth communication skills with stakeholders.

• 8.5 million - 11.5 million JPY (plus variable compensation)
