About the Role

The Senior HR Advisor supports HR Business Partners and leaders across Australasia, providing generalist HR advisory support to achieve business outcomes, enhance performance, build capability, and foster a positive workplace culture. This role manages a client portfolio and offers advice on employment matters within the Australasian context.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with leaders and employees, acting as a trusted HR advisor and first point of contact for HR matters.
  • Provide expert advice and coaching on employee relations, performance management, workplace issues, employment legislation, awards, agreements, policies, and WHS matters.
  • Support leaders in workforce management, recruitment, talent development, investigations, disciplinary processes, leave, remuneration, and employment arrangements.
  • Deliver HR administration and coordination, including onboarding, offboarding, HR documentation, recruitment support, and payroll/change processes.
  • Maintain HR systems and reporting, analyze workforce data, prepare insights, and contribute to HR initiatives, projects, and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR (or related discipline) and experience in a generalist HR role supporting diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Sound knowledge and practical experience interpreting employment legislation, Fair Work requirements, modern awards, enterprise agreements, and employment relations processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management, customer service, and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and support geographically dispersed clients.
  • Experience in HR administration, recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, with a high level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capability, including experience with HR data, workforce reporting, and preparing business insights.
  • Resourceful, proactive, and resilient, with strong judgement, emotional intelligence, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
  • Familiarity with the employment relations landscape, including an understanding of Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreement, and relevant Fair Work legislation.
  • Experience managing or supporting industrial relations issues within a unionised or industrial environment.
  • Full working rights within Australia.
  • Successful candidates will undergo a Police Check.
