About the Role

This position primarily involves providing advance advice on security incidents that may occur when client organizations' employees travel or are stationed overseas, or in relation to overseas business and projects. It also includes providing emergency advice and response if an incident occurs. Incidents include crime, terrorism, conflict, political unrest, protests, natural disasters, and various accidents.

Responsibilities

  • Provide risk assessments and practical preventive and response measures verbally and in writing for specific consultations from client companies and travelers regarding overseas travel, residency, and short-term assignments (including situation analysis updates, destination risk assessments, travel approval decisions, precautions, and emergency action guidelines).
  • Support the handling of complex and serious incidents such as crime, terrorism, political unrest, conflict, and natural disasters.
  • Lead integrated incident response in collaboration with medical, operations, and network teams.
  • Improve service quality and response processes based on client feedback.
  • Select, evaluate, and maintain/update the network of security providers and hotels in Japan.
  • Directly manage crisis response operations and coordination on-site when necessary during major incidents.
  • Monitor and analyze alerts and incidents for foreigners and foreign companies in Japan, and support reporting in collaboration with information gathering and analysis teams.
  • Promote localization and quality improvement of content for Japan.
  • Ensure information sharing and consistency by collaborating with overseas offices and global teams.
  • Enhance the added value of assistance services for Japanese clients and strengthen relationships.
  • Contribute to external communication as an expert through webinars, seminars, facility tours, and article creation.
  • Support the planning and execution of security training for clients.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of security risk assessment, threat analysis, and risk management in diverse environments.
  • Practical experience in overseas field operations related to employee safety, crisis management, and humanitarian assistance/protection of Japanese nationals.
  • Knowledge of global political and security issues.
  • High-level oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze information from multiple perspectives and make decisions/create plans in a short time.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment.
  • IT skills such as Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (domestic or international).
  • Native level Japanese.
  • Business level English (TOEIC 800 or higher).
