About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Designer to be part of our Buildings services team in Sydney. You will be joining a diverse team of consultants, developers and software engineers who are passionate about what they do, with a proven track record of guiding our projects and clients, and leading the delivery of digital ways of working across infrastructure projects. This role sits within Mott MacDonald’s Building Services Team and will contribute to our NSW Civil drafting capabilities supporting various large exciting projects.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and coordinate civil design drawings for buildings, precincts, roads, infrastructure and urban development projects.
  • Perform AutoCAD drafting for grading, stormwater drainage, utilities, roads, pavements, earthworks and external works.
  • Utilize Bluebeam Revu for design mark-ups.
  • Use 12d Synergy for drawing production and management.
  • Support drawing production from concept through to IFC.
  • Coordinate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain CAD standards and support timely issue of quality design packages under senior supervision.
  • Document workflows and develop guidance to ensure repeatability and adoption across project teams.

Requirements

  • Diploma, advanced diploma or equivalent qualification in civil drafting, CAD drafting, engineering drafting or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience producing civil drawings and documentation for buildings, precincts, roads, infrastructure or urban development projects.
  • Detail-focused, accurate, responsive to engineer mark-ups, comfortable working to tight drawing issue programmes, and committed to producing clear, coordinated and high-quality civil drafting deliverables.

Skills

  • Strong AutoCAD capability
  • Experience in Bluebeam Revu
  • Experience in 12d Synergy
  • Experience in ProjectWise
  • Knowledge of BIM/CAD standards
  • Curious, experimental, and proactive mindset towards digital innovation.
  • Collaborative working style with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain technical workflows to non-technical users.
  • Comfortable working in an iterative, prototype-driven environment.
