About the Role
EY Oceania Tax Technology is seeking a Lead Architect to join the Office of the CTO. This role will define and govern end-to-end architecture, balancing solution and infrastructure design, and ensuring delivery excellence for EY clients. The position focuses on cloud, AI, generative AI, agentic systems, and the Microsoft technology stack.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of an architecture vision and roadmap aligned with business goals, technology strategies, and global standards.
- Architect and govern scalable cloud-based solutions, leveraging the Microsoft stack and Azure, while promoting modern engineering practices.
- Oversee data, AI, and emerging technologies, ensuring responsible AI practices, regulatory compliance, and the creation of self-service tools.
- Establish and manage architecture governance and quality processes, including design reviews, standards compliance, and risk escalation.
- Provide technical leadership, engage senior stakeholders, and mentor architects and engineers.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in senior solution architecture or software architecture roles within complex environments.
- Strong cloud architecture experience, with Azure strongly preferred.
- React and/or Angular for web front-end.
- Proven experience designing large scale, multi-tenant, fault tolerant, and highly available systems.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, asynchronous architectures, and security by design.
- Experience designing and delivering AI, machine learning, or generative AI solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and guide senior stakeholders.
