About the Role

The Interpreter provides interpretation for Limited English Proficient (LEP) individuals, their families, clients, and staff in medical, legal, educational, and social services settings. The role involves advocating for LEP individuals' access to services, providing intercultural mediation, and assisting professionals in delivering culturally sensitive care. Responsibilities

Provide interpretation for Limited English Proficient (LEP) individuals, their families, clients, and staff.
Advocate for LEP individuals' access to services in medical, legal, educational, and social services settings.
Provide intercultural mediation to assist professionals in delivering culturally sensitive care, support, and instruction.
Perform short non-publication translations.

Requirements

1+ years of interpreting experience or a successful internship program.
Experience working in medical, customer service, legal, or educational settings is a plus.
A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
Fluency in both spoken and written English.
Fluency in the language of interpretation, with a preference for native-level fluency.
Professional-level interpreting skills.
