Responsibilities
- Assisting veterinarians during consultations, treatments, and procedures
- Surgical preparation and theatre assistance
- Monitoring anaesthesia and supporting post-operative recovery
- Administering medications and treatments
- Collecting samples and performing diagnostic testing
- Providing nursing care for hospitalised patients
- Maintaining patient records and treatment plans
- Supporting emergency and urgent care cases when required
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control
- Providing exceptional client communication and education
- Greeting clients and patients on arrival
- Managing appointments and bookings
- Answering phone calls and client enquiries
- Processing payments and managing accounts
- Supporting the day-to-day administration of the clinic
Requirements
- Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent qualification)
- Previous clinical veterinary nursing experience
- Confident with both medical and surgical nursing duties
- Demonstrates excellent animal handling skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Enjoys working both independently and as part of a team
- Organised, reliable, and professional
- Brings a positive, team-focused attitude
- Passionate about patient care and client experience
- Previous reception experience is highly regarded but not essential
