About the Role

The Head of FP&A leads the Financial Planning & Analysis function for Australia and New Zealand, providing strategic financial leadership, planning oversight, and decision support to senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for Australia and New Zealand.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and insightful financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Partner with business leaders across Underwriting, Claims, Operations, Distribution, and other functions to understand performance drivers and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Deliver monthly management reporting, variance analysis, and commentary for senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and planning tools to support business performance monitoring and analysis.
  • Prepare executive-level and board-level financial materials, presentations, and business reviews.
  • Drive consistency in financial planning processes, assumptions, and reporting standards across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Lead scenario analysis, sensitivity modelling, and business case evaluation to support commercial decisions.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Actuarial, and other control functions to ensure alignment on financial outlooks and business priorities.
  • Support strategic initiatives, transformation projects, and ad hoc analysis.
  • Lead, coach, and develop FP&A team members to build capability and strengthen finance business partnering.
