Responsibilities

• Supervising and managing events to ensure smooth operations.
• Managing staff, prioritizing guest comfort and safety.
• Setting up staff shifts and timetables.
• Scheduling necessary training for staff in customer service and serving etiquette.
• Coordinating food and beverage service by liaising with kitchen staff.
• Monitoring inventory for necessary supplies, equipment, and furniture.
• Addressing guest requests, questions, and complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensuring the venue and facilities are kept clean and organized.
• Adhering to all applicable safety regulations.
• Overcoming challenges that may arise during events.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience as a banquet captain or in a similar position.
• Physically fit with good stamina for moving and lifting furniture and standing for prolonged periods.
• Willingness to work long hours and irregular shifts.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks with good time management in a fast-paced environment.
