About the Role
Cranbrook Workshop, a part of the Robert Plumb Collective, is seeking a skilled and motivated Cabinet Maker / Joiner. This role involves manufacturing and assembling high-quality custom joinery and cabinetry, ensuring all work is completed to specification, on time, and to the highest standards. You will contribute to premium architectural joinery projects while focusing on quality, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture and assemble custom cabinetry and joinery products.
- Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and project requirements.
- Assist with the installation and fitting of joinery as required.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
- Identify and resolve manufacturing issues to ensure quality outcomes.
- Handle materials and components with care to minimise waste and damage.
- Support apprentices and contribute to a positive team culture.
Requirements
- Trade qualified Cabinet Maker or Joiner.
- Previous experience in cabinet making, shopfitting, or architectural joinery.
- Strong knowledge of joinery materials, methods, tools, and machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering exceptional results.
