About the Role
Okta is building the trusted, neutral infrastructure that enables organizations to safely embrace AI. This role supports aggressive growth within the APJ region by powering digital programs in Japan, translating global strategies into culturally resonant, high-converting digital campaigns tailored for the Japanese market.
Responsibilities
- Support the rollout and optimization of localized paid media programs, including Search, Social, and Display, ensuring linguistic precision and alignment with Japanese business etiquette.
- Leverage generative AI and agentic pipelines to accelerate ad copy localization, automate content variations, and conduct high-velocity creative testing for the Japanese market.
- Collaborate with global and APJ teams to implement region-specific SEO and GEO strategies, maximizing organic visibility across traditional search engines and AI chatbot platforms in Japan.
- Act as the primary paid media liaison for Japan, working closely with the broader APJ regional marketing team to share data-backed insights, align on regional goals, and adapt global campaigns for local success.
- Monitor the lead lifecycle from initial digital inquiry to Sales Development (xDR) handover, implementing rigorous quality assurance (QA) to maintain absolute brand compliance across Japanese touchpoints.
- Navigate complex localization bottlenecks by managing local vendor relationships and utilizing internal marketing technology stacks.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of scrappy, hands-on experience in digital marketing, demand generation, or campaign execution, specifically within the Japanese B2B tech landscape.
- Deep, practical knowledge of Japanese business culture, digital consumption habits, and localized enterprise buying cycles.
- Native-level fluency in Japanese and professional working proficiency in English to effectively bridge the gap between local sales teams and global marketing hubs.
- Eagerness to adopt AI-first workflows and hands-on experience with modern marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo, Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager).
- Strong analytical foundation with the ability to dive into performance metrics, track regional cost-per-acquisition (CPA), and continuously optimize campaign spend.
- Highly organized, self-starting nature with the inventive spirit required to scale localized programs efficiently in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Always ready to support the broader team for success.
