About the Role
eBay is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to join the eBay Live organization, a strategic initiative focused on scaling a new interactive shopping experience for global customers. This role involves owning the delivery of cross-functional programs, partnering with various teams to drive execution and manage dependencies in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end delivery of medium to large cross-functional programs, owning scope, timelines, risks, and outcomes.
- Engage engineering partners in technical discussions, architecture conversations, and release planning.
- Lead planning for assigned programs, defining timelines, milestones, and dependencies.
- Align technical execution with business goals, defining and tracking product requirements, and prioritizing based on impact.
- Identify and implement process improvements and drive best practice adoption.
- Own program reporting, including status dashboards, risk registers, and dependency tracking.
- Apply strategic thinking to connect execution to program intent, anticipating risks and blockers.
- Communicate with clarity and confidence across audiences, leading cross-functional meetings and delivering data-driven updates.
- Drive cross-functional alignment, navigating conflict constructively and building trust.
- Anchor programs to measurable customer and business outcomes, using data and feedback loops.
- Champion user value in prioritization and model eBay's values.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years leading cross-functional technical programs in product and technology organizations.
- Proven track record delivering programs end-to-end with strong program planning, risk management, dependency management, and release coordination skills.
- Solid understanding of system design and technical trade-offs.
- Deep expertise in Agile methodologies, program governance, risk management, and operational excellence.
- Practitioner-level experience with AI and GenAI tools (ChatGPT Enterprise, Gemini, Glean, NotebookLM, Claude) and workflow automation platforms.
- Advanced proficiency with Jira, Airtable, Confluence, and Google Workspace.
- Strong analytical mindset, leveraging data and metrics to drive decisions.
- Sound judgment in escalating issues and adapting to shifting priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
