About the Role
This role offers a unique opportunity to build a new function at Adobe as the company transitions advertising operations in-house, replacing external agencies with an AI-based engine. It requires a blend of strategy, data analysis, and hands-on execution, with significant influence over global advertising for a Fortune 500 company.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage a global team of Channel Planners across key regions (America, EMEA, APAC, Japan).
- Ensure global consistency in media planning while adapting to local nuances.
- Own the 'Adobe on Adobe' strategy, leveraging Adobe adtech (GenPem, AEP, RTCDP, etc.) across all regions.
- Establish the framework for the team's interaction with regional marketing leaders, including issue resolution, decision rights, and expectations.
- Schedule formal reviews every 3-6 months to assess the effectiveness of the planning approach.
- Collaborate with Adobe's media-buying team in India.
- Drive improved audience targeting and data-sharing across regions and campaigns.
- Manage partnerships with ad platforms to secure better rates, credits, and support.
- Set campaign tagging, organization, and quality-checking standards in partnership with Ops.
- Define the future of Adobe's advertising campaign planning, starting with paid social and expanding.
- Balance global standards with regional variations in pricing, language, and regulations.
Requirements
- 10+ years in digital advertising/media.
- 5+ years leading media buying or campaign execution teams.
- Proven track record of building new teams or functions from scratch.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of digital ad platforms and audience targeting/campaign measurement technology.
- Experience standardizing media team operations across multiple regions or markets.
- Excellent ability to influence collaborators and manage change.
- Self-starter, capable of setting direction and performing hands-on work.
- Experience working with Adobe's marketing and advertising tools (Nice-to-Have).
- Experience managing overseas or offshore execution teams (Nice-to-Have).
- Experience across both business (B2B) and consumer advertising (Nice-to-Have).
- Background connecting advertising planning with execution/buying (Nice-to-Have).
