About the Role

Morningstar DBRS is seeking a motivated Senior Analyst for its Cash Flow Analytics group in New York, Stamford, or Chicago. This role focuses on US Asset-Backed Securities (ABS), supporting ratings activity by creating, running, and analyzing transaction cash flows. The candidate will become an expert in securitization structures and legal document review, presenting findings to senior staff.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain cash flow models in Intex Dealmaker, Python, and other proprietary platforms.
  • Interpret and analyze transaction legal documents, focusing on waterfall and structural nuances for cash flow modeling.
  • Assist with analysis to evaluate the credit profile of securities.
  • Communicate analysis to senior staff and colleagues in Ratings Analyst teams.
  • Occasionally attend rating committees to present findings.

Requirements

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Structured Finance, preferably with direct cash flow modeling experience.
  • Self-starter and team player with demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
