About the Role
The Assistant Baseball Coach serves in the College Athletic Department, assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of the baseball program. This role involves recruiting players, holding tryouts, and promoting the academic success of student-athletes.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the baseball program.
- Recruit players and hold tryouts.
- Become knowledgeable of all The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) soccer rules, including student-athlete eligibility requirements.
- Travel with the team unless alternate arrangements have been approved.
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times as a representative of the College.
- Supervise staff and student-athletes while traveling to ensure their safety.
- Promote the academic success of student-athletes, monitor academic performance, and encourage high academic standards.
- Assist with scheduling, organizing, supervising, and conducting all practices and games.
- May be required to drive vans to baseball games.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and Athletic Director.
Requirements
- Baseball coaching experience at the high school level or above.
- Clean driving record and a valid Driver License.
