About the Role

The Admissions Coordinator is a key liaison for families exploring placement at Gersh Autism Academy, guiding them through the admissions process with empathy and precision. This role requires a blend of relationship-building, attention to detail, and a results-driven approach to meet enrollment goals.

Responsibilities

  • Educate prospective families on the school program through phone inquiries and tours.
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual enrollment goals.
  • Provide knowledge and training as a senior member of the admissions team.
  • Adhere to all admissions policies and procedures.
  • Be flexible with schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Abide by admissions telephone contact strategy, including daily call volume, weekly tour activity, and pipeline funnel management.
  • Manage and maintain accurate client records in the CRM system.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key referral sources.
  • Represent Gersh at networking events, professional conferences, and industry meetings.
  • Conduct outreach campaigns to generate new leads and partnerships.
  • Coordinate and participate in recruitment efforts like open houses and fairs.
  • Coordinate and participate in special events involving prospective students.
  • Guide parents through the legal and tuition funding process.
  • Work in partnership with the admissions team, Corporate Management, and school leadership.
  • Oversee the preparation and maintenance of enrollment statistics.
  • Interpret and communicate enrollment statistics to key stakeholders.
  • Audit and ensure quality assurance.
  • Approach other assigned duties with flexibility, urgency, and a solution-oriented attitude.

Requirements

  • Direct experience in an admissions role within an educational setting (private school, special education program, or therapeutic school environment preferred).

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel regularly, including out-of-state travel.
  • Must be able to keep students safe from themselves and others, and implement CPI procedures if necessary.
  • Must be able to remove oneself from potentially harmful situations and lift a child if necessary.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and move throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift (at least 50–65 pounds), assist, and/or physically support students.
  • Ability to physically intervene when required to ensure safety (per CPI training).
  • Ability to remove oneself and/or others from unsafe situations quickly.
  • Ability to maintain attention and focus in a dynamic, high-stimulation environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and shift priorities quickly.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-making, particularly in high-pressure or safety-sensitive situations.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain professional relationships.
