About the Role

Supervisors are key leadership figures within the media investment team, bridging client strategy and tactical execution. This role oversees the investment process, manages team development, and serves as the primary communication point for investment strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Media Planning and Client Leadership to establish buying guidelines, set pricing benchmarks, and define cross-platform strategies.
  • Lead high-level negotiations for Upfronts, sports packages, sponsorships, and master agreements across linear, CTV, and digital audio.
  • Present buying strategies, marketplace trends, and business reviews to clients, translating data into business insights.
  • Provide financial and operational oversight, managing client budgets, audit reports, and billing resolutions.
  • Stay informed on industry trends like linear/CTV integration, measurement shifts, and audience fragmentation to advise clients and internal teams.
  • Establish and maintain business relationships with key vendor partners and network executives.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Assistant Buyers, Buyers, and Senior Buyers.
  • Oversee daily workloads, review buy portfolios, and approve final negotiations and buys.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, guide career development, and ensure team training on negotiation tactics, media terminology, and buying systems.

Requirements

  • 4 year college degree
  • 5–8+ years of experience in media buying with extensive knowledge of linear broadcast, Connected TV (CTV/OTT), and digital audio landscapes.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience directly managing or leading team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint and buying systems (e.g., MediaOcean, Prisma, Nlogic).
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
  • Advanced negotiation tactics.
  • Stellar presentation and client-facing communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen.
