About the Role

Under the general supervision of the Machine Operator, Area Leader, Production Supervisor and/or Plant Manager; the General Production Worker will be responsible to follow directions for various plant tasks to ensure good quality products are efficiently manufactured at all times.

Responsibilities

• Performing various general plant tasks including packaging, feeding product to the line, making boxes, applying tamper seals, and closing lids to ensure good quality product is produced.
• Performing any task associated with the assembly or packaging of the product.
• Performing the job responsibilities of a back-up Machine Operator for coverage purposes.
• Practicing and adhering to Food Safety, GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices), and Health and Safety policy.
• Practicing and adhering to Give & Go’s policies and best practices.
• Following Give & Go core values: Respect, Direct Communication & Quality.
• Performing other reasonable duties as assigned by the Area Leader/Supervisor and/or Plant Manager.

Requirements

• Completion of high school education or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of manufacturing experience; experience in food and dairy manufacturing is an asset.
• Good hand and manual dexterity.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Flexibility to work rotating and/or weekend shifts.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
