About the Role

ICMP is seeking a dynamic and experienced Programme Leader to lead the new BA Music Psychology in Practice programme. This role involves providing strategic and academic leadership, ensuring high-quality teaching, learning, and student experience, and driving innovation in curriculum development and programme delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and academic leadership for the BA Music Psychology in Practice programme.
  • Ensure high-quality teaching, learning, and student experience.
  • Work closely with the academic team to drive innovation and excellence.
  • Oversee curriculum development and programme delivery.
  • Enhance student engagement.
  • Form and grow a new music psychology in practice faculty.
  • Roll out the programme nationally.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience in undergraduate-graduate teaching and academic leadership.
  • Experience designing assessments that develop critical analysis and independent enquiry.
  • A track record of leading teams.
  • Experience enhancing the student experience.
  • Experience managing academic programmes.
  • Awareness of inclusive pedagogies and current debates such as decolonising the curriculum.
  • Ability to motivate and support staff.
  • Ability to foster collaboration.
  • Ability to align academic vision with strategic objectives.
  • Demonstrable research profile or industry practice evidenced through publications, applied research, or critically reflective industry work.
  • Successful candidates will be required to obtain a satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure.
