About the Role
As a part-time Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, while also supporting fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations. Occasional work with other companies' products may be required.
Responsibilities
- Perform service work in Hallmark departments of various retail stores.
- Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory using a mobile device.
- Communicate with supervisors, report time, provide feedback, and answer surveys via technology.
- Interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers.
- Manage the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
- Provide additional support and extended hours during holiday seasons (Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas).
- Work on actual holidays and weekends during peak seasons as required.
- Participate in department resets, including building fixtures, relocating products, and resetting card sections.
- Support team members in their territories as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Able to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Able to operate a digital hand-held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
- Access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores.
- Must be able to consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion.
- Required to kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday.
- May be required to climb stairs and step ladders.
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends is required.
- Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
- Must sign the Employment Agreement.
- Must sign an agreement to arbitrate in connection with the Hallmark Dispute Resolution Program.
- Must complete Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check.
- Only individuals lawfully authorized to work in the United States will be hired.
- Hallmark does not generally provide sponsorship for employment.
