About the Role
The Principal Software Business Manager, License Sales will develop, maintain, and improve frameworks, tools, and operational motions to optimize License Sales business strategy, driving new seat growth and reducing churn. This role enables decision-making at senior levels and requires collaboration with global and regional leaders to align operational plans with strategic priorities and growth plans. You will drive the execution of a growth vision and differentiated features, leveraging expertise to enhance License Sales capabilities for experimentation and growth.
Responsibilities
- Own operational plans alongside functional leaders to ensure T&M is growing the License Sales business with tactics across commercial infrastructure, product value and packaging, and go-to-market strategies.
- Drive business analytics based on judgment, market understanding, problem solving, and fact-based analysis to identify, prioritize, structure, and solve business challenges.
- Serve as a key business partner in developing long-term strategic and annual plans, and maintaining accurate forecasts.
- Bring together regional, go-to-market, Sales, and business teams to drive optimal process and planning outcomes.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional collaboration in a highly matrixed and complex environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ease in executive-level interactions.
- Ability to distill complex business issues and strategies into concise and persuasive insights and recommendations.
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong planning and project management skills.
- Creative and innovative thinking with the ability to anticipate future business needs.
- Self-starter with initiative, comfort with ambiguity, and a proactive approach.
- Willingness and ability to travel on a limited basis (10 percent or less).
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, bring energy and accountability, and deliver on commitments.
- Familiarity with financial reporting metrics and operational performance indicators.
- Track record of exceeding goals successfully.
- Persistence in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks.
