About the Role

Pinterest is seeking a Partner Development Lead to join its founding team. This role is central to connecting the partner ecosystem with Pinterest's product and commercial teams, driving strategy and execution for Activation (API) and AdTech partnerships to achieve durable revenue growth and product adoption. The ideal candidate is a builder, strategist, and operator comfortable with ambiguity and translating complex partner needs into go-to-market strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute multi-year strategies for Activation (API) and AdTech partners (SSPs/DSPs).
  • Define the roadmap for partner tiering, onboarding, and long-term commercial engagement.
  • Partner with Business Development, Product Marketing, and Product/Engineering to build an 'Acquire > Enable > Develop' motion.
  • Establish accountability for partner-sourced pipeline, durable revenue growth, and product adoption.
  • Implement standard operating mechanisms (QBRs, scorecards, joint business plans) to track performance.
  • Serve as the internal voice of the partner, translating feedback into product roadmap priorities.
  • Translate Pinterest’s value propositions into clear integration/co-sell plays for partner platforms.
  • Lead cross-functional pods spanning Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Ensure stakeholder alignment on partner-specific plays that drive incremental advertiser performance.
  • Bridge the gap between technical API capabilities and commercial sales goals for programmatic and agentic integrations.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in digital media, AdTech, or related technology industries.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the programmatic ecosystem, including hands-on experience with DSPs, SSPs, and API-based integrations.
  • Deep understanding of modern performance marketing plumbing (tag management, attribution, measurement, data signals).
  • Proven ability to build new partnership programs from 0 to 1.
  • Comfortable defining processes where none exist and iterating quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience leading end-to-end strategy for complex partnerships, including deal structuring, renewal negotiation, and joint GTM alignment.
  • Exceptional ability to distill complex technical/product topics into persuasive narratives for internal leadership and external C-level stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of API integrations, custom platform connections, and technical documentation.
  • Experience working in highly matrixed organizations and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
