About the Role

This position is responsible for leading and managing one or more priority consumer brands as a leader within the marketing team, requiring a blend of general management skills and a digital-first marketing mindset in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage priority consumer brands.
  • Develop brand plans and manage P&L, including advertising, programs, promotions, and research.
  • Collaborate with agencies, vendors, and internal resources to drive market results.
  • Manage day-to-day brand program logistics, timelines, budgets, and analysis.
  • Plan and execute digitally focused marketing campaigns (Paid Social, SEM, SEO, Influencer, Organic Social, Content Creation, Connected/Streaming TV, Programmatic Video/Display).
  • Provide consumption-based data analysis for the brand, offering insights into market trends and identifying unmet needs.
  • Lead and coach one direct report.
  • Generate accurate volume forecasts in collaboration with sales, demand planning, and vendors.
  • Deliver on brand-level P&L, focusing on net sales and contribution.
  • Provide sales teams with best-in-class materials for retailer presentations, working with Category Management.
  • Collaborate with sales on brick-and-mortar and e-commerce strategies, specifically Amazon and Walmart.com.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or MBA in Marketing, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related work experience in brand marketing (agency experience not applicable).
  • Demonstrated leadership and team skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver strong business results through collaboration.
  • Effective utilization of resources to overcome challenges and achieve objectives.
  • Takes ownership where appropriate.
  • Track record in coaching, developing, and managing junior marketers.
  • Strategic thinking skills to deliver against long-term brand goals.
  • Ability to prioritize marketing initiatives for short-term and long-term success.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to convert data into insights, strategies, and actionable plans.
  • Strong communication and influence skills; ability to lead thinking and build relationships.
  • Results-oriented approach, focusing on both achievement and methodology.
  • Comfortable in an entrepreneurial, hands-on environment with the ability to make decisions with limited information.
  • Self-reliant, proactive, and possesses a pioneering spirit.
  • Ability to travel 10% via car, plane, or rail.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various groups.
  • Ability to calculate figures including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
