About the Role
The Housekeeping Manager oversees a housekeeping department of approximately 20 employees in a 61,330 square foot clubhouse, including food and beverage outlets, banquet spaces, locker rooms, and pools. This position supervises housekeeping services for the City Clubhouse and manages the setup and breakdown of banquet events.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and maintain cleanliness throughout the Clubhouse, including locker rooms, F&B outlets, public rooms, hallways, meeting rooms, restrooms, fitness areas, pools, offices, golf shop, golf course restrooms, and tennis clubhouse.
- Provide daily oversight, training, and management of housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
- Ensure member service standards are met and employee concerns are addressed.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, club policies, and procedures.
- Train, supervise, and ensure standards are met for all housekeeping staff.
- Conduct inventory, order, and maintain housekeeping supplies and linens.
- Assist in scheduling, time off requests, and bids.
- Coordinate work orders with Engineering Departments and ensure completion.
- Manage the setup and breakdown of meeting rooms, ensuring cleaning standards are maintained.
- Read and interpret BEOs and floor plans to execute room setups efficiently.
- Ensure all Food & Beverage outlets are properly cleaned and maintained.
- Manage Housekeeping staff for setups for all special events, banquets, and meetings.
- Assist members and guests with requests and resolve member concerns.
- Complete incident reports regarding safety and security.
- Assist in other Clubhouse operations management capacities as needed.
- Communicate and collaborate with the Clubhouse management team and staff.
Requirements
- Associates Degree, Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalency in hospitality management or related field and/or previous experience in private clubs, hotels, restaurants, or related industry.
- Fluent English oral and written communication skills, including report writing and incident documentation.
- Solid computer skills in MS Office, internet, Outlook, and POS systems (Northstar).
- 3 years of experience supervising or managing housekeeping or environmental services.
- Extensive knowledge of housekeeping standards and environmental services.
- Flexible schedule required, including evenings, weekends, mornings, afternoons, and holidays.
