About the Role
As the Childcare Provider, you will play an essential role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment at our Early Childhood Education program. Working closely with families and fellow staff, you will help foster children's growth, development, and well-being while providing the consistent care and support they need to thrive.
Responsibilities
- Actively create and maintain a child-oriented, trauma sensitive atmosphere.
- Follow a structured routine that consists of play-time, nap, meals, and circle time.
- Assure children’s basic needs are met (food, clothing, safety, diapering, rest, etc.).
- Create daily routines and meaningful experiences that are responsive to children’s strengths, interests, and needs.
- Assist with daily health screenings and ensure all COVID-19 policies and procedures are followed.
- Assist with administrative tasks including answering phones and recording attendance.
- Assist in the day-to-day maintenance of the center.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience working with children from newborn to 2 years old.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift 40 or more pounds.
- Ability to sit on the floor, bend and pick up children through the course of an eight-hour shift.
