About the Role
The shipping and receiving operator position verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment or internal processing to quality and productivity standards.
Responsibilities
- Performs incoming inspection of various parts or components.
- Receives incoming goods, confirms accuracy and routes appropriately to shop floor.
- Assures all quality control documents are complete and included in outgoing shipments.
- Ensures that materials shipped and received are verified against pertinent documentation.
- Responsible for the timely processing of expedited deliveries.
- Maintains a safe work environment by adhering to and enforcing safe work practices and following safety practice.
- Safely operates equipment including forklift, and other required equipment.
- Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
- Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
- Familiar with IS09001, AS9100, Nadcap and Quality Management Systems.
- Experienced forklift truck operator preferred.
- Factory-related experience preferred.
- Will train if necessary.
- This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
- All accepted applications must be U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR.
- Hires for this position will be required to go through an export licensing review process, except U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents, and protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
