About the Role

Guggenheim Securities is seeking an Associate to join its Financial Sponsors Group (FSG) in London. This role involves leading M&A advisory services for private equity clients in the UK and Europe, offering direct exposure to senior bankers and client representatives. Associates will be involved in all aspects of transaction origination and execution, with opportunities for best-in-class investment banking training.

Responsibilities

Prepare and contribute to client presentations and interact with senior bankers, clients, lawyers, and accountants.
Develop and monitor complex financial models for corporate finance alternatives and valuation analysis.
Draft internal and client-facing documents, including management presentations, lender presentations, fairness opinions, and pitchbooks.
Perform client due diligence and prepare transaction-related documentation.
Contribute to the creation of strategic frameworks, tools, and intellectual property for business development.
Conduct competitive research, including identifying sector and industry trends.
Gather and analyze information, formulate hypotheses, and develop recommendations for senior leadership.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of investment banking or equivalent M&A experience.
Significant maturity and ability to work with top company executives and senior management.
Highly organized with initiative and ability to work with limited supervision.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Adaptive mind-set, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Effective process management abilities.
