About the Role
Last Energy is seeking a Receiving & Inspection Technician to perform incoming inspection and receiving support for components, materials, and equipment. This is a hands-on, floor-based role at the front end of our quality system, serving as the first checkpoint to ensure incoming items match engineering specifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform receiving inspection on incoming parts, raw materials, and equipment against purchase orders, drawings, and specifications.
- Use standard inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, and basic CMM support) to verify dimensional and visual conformance.
- Verify and record certifications, material test reports, heat/lot numbers, and other traceability documentation for nuclear-grade materials.
- Identify, tag, and document nonconforming material, and route it through the nonconformance process.
- Maintain accurate receiving and inspection records in the ERP/MRP system.
- Stage, label, and kit inspected materials for release to manufacturing, stores, or quarantine.
- Coordinate with Procurement and Supplier Quality on receiving discrepancies, shortages, and damaged shipments.
- Support cycle counts, inventory accuracy checks, and basic warehouse organization (5S).
- Escalate recurring supplier quality issues to the Quality & Engineering teams.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, purchase orders, and basic GD&T callouts.
- Working knowledge of standard inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
- Comfort with ERP/MRP systems and basic data entry.
- Extremely high attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership over documentation accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move materials as part of routine receiving and staging work.
- Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment is a plus.
