About the Role
CLA is seeking an Audit Director/Audit Manager to join our Higher Education practice in Texas. CLA has served the higher education sector for over 50 years, with professionals deeply involved in national and regional higher-ed associations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with clients.
- Assist clients in obtaining necessary funding.
- Assist clients with meeting their audit and financial planning objectives.
- Be creative with staff development, mentoring, and overseeing client engagement teams.
- Lead engagement progress by monitoring time budgets and deadlines.
- Communicate important developments to the engagement principal, including facts, conclusions, and recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of public accounting experience with emphasis in financial statement preparation and audits.
- Experience leading teams of high performing people.
- Experience managing Higher Education audits strongly preferred.
- CPA license certification is required.
