About the Role

Cytiva, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Controls & Electrical Engineer I to support the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of electrical and control systems in manufacturing and industrial environments. This entry-level role involves assisting with PLC systems, automation projects, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement under the guidance of senior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing manufacturing processes and identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
• Support documentation, including modification of electrical and control systems schematics, control narratives, and standard procedures.
• Assist with writing, testing, and debugging PLC and HMI control logic.
• Support troubleshooting of electrical, control, and process-related issues.
• Support validation, installation, commissioning, and startup activities for automation projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• Experience in electrical, controls, or automation engineering (co-op or internship experience acceptable).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow into increased technical responsibility.
