About the Role

This position assists the Commercial Banking Department through the preparation, closing, post-closing, and booking of commercial loans. The role involves preparing documents, creating closing packages, and servicing business loans, with potential interaction with members and professional providers.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews loan closing documentation orders and attachments to ensure completeness.
  • Prepares all necessary loan closing documents, reviewing for accuracy and compliance.
  • Books business loans to the core system and completes post-closing disbursements.
  • Completes, reviews, and updates checklists to verify process completion and establish follow-up actions.
  • Completes management and compliance reports accurately and timely.
  • Creates and manages exceptions for tracking missing documents and lien filings.
  • Assembles and organizes business files, scanning and labeling all documents.
  • Performs backup duties for Administrative and Servicing Staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and three years of direct experience in business/commercial documentation and/or auditing, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience or ability to gain proficiency in Microsoft Office products and business lending systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in business loan, real estate, and business asset documentation is preferred.
  • Proven ability to organize work, balance multiple priorities, and manage projects within deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced, flexible work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to use independent judgment and discretion while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to help people.
  • Thorough understanding of company policies, procedures, and relevant state and federal laws and regulations.
